Tasting FAQs
Are you family friendly?
Honig is a family-owned winery and we welcome children in the morning for our Family Terrace Tasting. There is a fee of $10 for any child over the age of 12 months, which includes juice and a snack to enjoy during the experience. Infants under 12 months must be in a stroller or on an adult's lap for the entirety of the tasting. This is a working winery, so for safety children must remain at the table with their parents at all times.
Are there activities for kids?
For safety, all children must remain at the table during the tasting. They will have their own tasting menu along with juice and a snack. We do have drawing supplies, however parents are encouraged to bring activities for the child to do at the table during their experience.
Can I bring my dog?
We are a dog friendly winery and well-behaved dogs are welcome! All dogs must remain on leash at all times while on winery property.
Can we split a large party into two tables?
The maximum number of persons (including non-tasters) permitted in our Terrace Tasting is (9) nine people. We do not split large groups. Groups of 10-20 people may book in our Group Garden area by emailing hospitality@honigwine.com or calling 707-963-4272.
How long is the tasting
Our Terrace Tasting Experience is 75 minutes and features five wines. The Reserve Room AVA Experience is 90 minutes and focuses on single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. The Eco-Tour Vineyard Experience is 90 minutes and includes a cart tour of our sustainably farmed vineyard followed by a Terrace Tasting. Our Group Garden Experience is 120 minutes.
Do you provide food during the tasting?
We provide breadsticks and have packaged snacks for purchase. Outside food is not allowed on our Terrace, but can be consumed in our designated Picnic Area, which is available on a first come, first served basis. The Reserve Tasting includes charcuterie.
Do you provide Industry/Trade tastings?
We offer a limited number of appointments for Trade/Industry. Please call 707-963-4272 or email hospitality@honigwine.com to enquire.
Are my tasting fees waived if I buy wine?
Our tasting fees are based on your tasting experience, exclusive of wine purchase. Complimentary tastings are limited to current club members.
