It’s always sunny in Philadelphia…I mean Napa. Wait, it isn’t always supposed to be sunny here, but people are starting to have a hard time remembering when the sun wasn’t shining. We’ve read the articles and heard the whispers, but according to Honig Winemaker Kristin Belair, no one really knows what is going to happen.

Summer is back! The season of backyard cookouts is at last upon us again. There are few things better than getting together with some good friends, sharing some good food, and even better wine. It can get pretty hot here in the Napa Valley during the summer, and my favorite way to beat the heat is with a perfectly chilled glass of Rose’. That's right, real men drink pink!

Lets talk about late harvest. The grapes that make late harvest wines are picked significantly later in the harvest season than the rest of the grapes (its not just a cute name…). We’re talking as late the middle of November or even early December. By that time whatever is left on the vine is more like a raisin than a grape.

Wine tasting is one of my favorite pastimes. Growing up in the Napa Valley I’ve had the opportunity to visit my choice of over four hundred wineries within less than an hour of one another. The coolest part is that each tasting room is unique. Although the distance between tasting rooms sprinkled throughout the valley is not drastic, I’ve come to learn that the differences in practices and limitations in these tasting rooms are. In order to make your experience as enjoyable as possible (and avoid those awkward situations), here some tips on how to plan an amazing day of wine tasting:
