Sustainability encompasses much more than the elimination of pesticides and herbicides in the vineyard - it is an ongoing, dynamic process. Being sustainable means running our winery in a manner that promotes the health and wellbeing of the planet, the employees, and the business by asking “What is the impact?” with each decision that we make.
Michael Honig helped to write the Wine Institute Code of Sustainable Winegrowing Practices, and Honig was one of the first California wineries to earn the Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing certification. We are proud to have recently completed the Napa Green certification for both the vineyard and the winery, as well as certification for Fish Friendly Farming.
