Born in Southern California, but living throughout the U.S., Brett Adams had designs on becoming a chemical engineer at UC Davis. Instead, while taking an intro to winemaking course for fun, decided he liked the challenge of making and drinking beer and wine and chose to study that field. In 2001, he went on to receive a BS in Fermentation Science from UC Davis. After working his first internship at Trinchero Family Estates in 2001, he went on to study for a Master’s of Science at Washington State University with an emphasis in Enology.
Upon leaving Washington State University, Brett came back to California to work as Assistant Winemaker at Roche winery in Sonoma, followed by a harvest at Sequoia Grove Winery in Rutherford. He joined Honig in late 2006, as Associate Winemaker.
An avid bay area sports fan, Brett roots tirelessly for the Oakland A’s and San Francisco 49ers. He makes poor attempts at golf and is constantly chasing the perfect Manhattan.
